Great for a unit of work about living things, The Minibeast Trivia Quiz consists of a total of 33 multiple choice questions arranged into three categories:
- Body parts
- Food
- General
and cover topics such as the features of living things, what they eat and where they live.
The questions relate to information provided in the Minibeast Information Cards – Set 1, available separately or included in The Junior Entomologist Game.
How to play
Each time the quiz is played, a different set of ten questions is asked.
The categories and questions are chosen randomly from the total.
Feedback about the correctness of the response is given.
The total number of questions correctly answered is given at the end of the quiz.
Suggestions
- Use it as a whole-class activity on the whiteboard to review learning or to stimulate research.
- Provide children with copies of the Minibeast Information Cards in literacy groups and challenge them to get ten out of ten by researching the questions before choosing their answers.
- Use it as a fun filler activity when you have a few spare moments.
