Let’s Count Pancakes supports children’s understanding of place value with 3-digit numbers.
In this lesson, children learn to recognise and represent 3-digit numbers and understand the value of each numeral in its place.
There are ten slides for discussion, each showing a different 3-digit number.
On each slide, children count the pancakes and write the number of hundreds, tens and ones they count.
They then choose the correct 3-digit number that corresponds.
