These Friendship tree message strips are designed for use with a Friendship tree (see How to make a friendship tree). The editable Word document makes it easy for teachers to prepare multiple copies of the class list which are cut into strips on which children write anonymous friendship messages to their classmates. The activity works well at the end of the year when children know each other well, but can be used at any time to foster a positive classroom environment. It can be easily integrated with a Christmas theme which coincides with the end of the Australian school year.
