Do you celebrate Christmas? is a great class survey to initiate discussions about the family traditions of children in your class.
Whether any, some, all, or no children celebrate Christmas may vary from year to year and class to class.
Even if all children celebrate Christmas, the traditions of each individual family may differ. Children will find it interesting to share their own stories and hear the stories of others.
If some children don’t celebrate Christmas, the survey provides a wonderful opportunity for discussing different family, and different cultural, traditions.
If no one in your class celebrates Christmas, you may consider not doing the survey at all, and complete another survey which is more appropriate to your class. Refer to Yes or No class surveys for teaching suggestions and use the Yes or No – Class survey form to conduct the surveys.
