Ladybird and Butterfly friends of ten is a lesson in combinations to 10, ready to teach on the interactive whiteboard.
The lessons use tens frames to help children visualise (subitise) the numbers and their relationship to 10.
Ladybirds are shown on each frame. Children count how many. They then fill the frame with butterflies and count how many were added.
They can write the full addition story below.
All combinations to 10 are included.
