Easter word search is a fun activity for learning to recognise Easter topic words and sight words. It is presented as a cute chicken in an egg.
Twenty Easter-themed topic words are hidden in the chick for children to find. They should colour each word in the chick and on the list as they find it. Using matching coloured pencils (not felt pens) will help them keep track.
Once they have found the twenty topic words, they could search for words on their sight words lists. Fifty sight words are also included in the chick.
The number words one to ten and the days of the week are also hidden in the chick.
Can children find and recognise all the hidden words?
Suggestion: Print on A3 and have children work in pairs to complete the activity.
